The Green Chair Project

The Green Chair Project was created to increase access to affordable mental health support for individuals, couples, and families who may be uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial barriers to care.

Services may be provided by licensed mental health professionals, provisionally licensed clinicians, associates, interns, graduate-level student therapists, or other supervised clinicians, depending on availability and the laws and licensing requirements of the state in which services are provided.

To help make counseling and mental health support more accessible, services through The Green Chair Project are offered starting at $60 for a 50-minute session, subject to clinician availability, eligibility, location, and level of care required. Reduced-fee services are not guaranteed, and fees may vary depending on the clinician and service provided.

The Green Chair Project is not an emergency or crisis service. Participation in the program does not guarantee placement with a clinician or a specific treatment outcome.

Support the Green Chair Project.

Every day, individuals, couples, children, and families struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, addictions, and overwhelming stress. Many know they need help, but the cost of therapy often places support beyond their reach. The Green Chair Project was created to change that.

Through the generosity of donors, we can provide subsidized counselling services to people who might otherwise go without the care they need. Our goal is simple: to ensure that financial circumstances are never the reason someone cannot receive support, hope, encouragement, and practical tools for healing.
